TechniSat presents new products designed for various European markets
As German leading manufacturer of digital receivers, TechniSat is pleased to present its new set-top boxes designed for various European markets, as well as its new IDTVs at this year’s IFA show in Berlin (4-9 September 2009).
TechniSat Digital GmbH designs, develops and manufactures consumer electronics and information technology products. Since the foundation in 1987, TechniSat has been among the leading suppliers of satellite reception and digital technology products in Germany and Europe. Today TechniSat supplies a full range of products including digital receivers for the reception of satellite, cable and terrestrial (DVB-S/-C/-T) television, PVRs, IDTVs, PC products, CA modules, multi-switches, headends, accessories and installation equipment.
TechniSat products are designed and built to the highest standards of quality and reliability. The innovative products are developed at the own research and development centres in Germany, Poland and the UK. Production takes place at five facilities in Germany and across Europe. In all its activities, TechniSat firmly adheres to the philosophy of developing and producing consumer-friendly, high quality products.
New set-top boxes
The receiver range by TechniSat has already won numerous awards, and will once again be a highlight for visitors at this year’s IFA show 2009 in Berlin (Germany). This year TechniSat presents new energy efficient and power saving digital receivers for various European markets, especially for the reception of television programmes via DTT - for example TechniSat HDT4, DiGYBOXX T4 and DiGYBOXX T4 VA. Especially for UK, TechniSat offers the HDFS Satellite HD Digital Receiver with Freesat.
TechniSat HDT4
TechniSat HDT 4 is designed for the reception of unencrypted and encrypted digital terrestrial TV in SD as well as in HD (MPEG 4) quality. The device includes an integrated CONAX decoding system with Smartcard reader. The sophisticated, logical operating concept ensures that HDT 4 is simple and convenient to operate. The on-screen menu used for operation is available in 10 languages: English, Hungarian, Polish, Slovenian, Portuguese, Lithuanian, Latvian, Russian, Estonian and Rumanian. The TechniSat HDT 4 is particularly well suited for Poland, Hungary (MinDig TV) and other European markets.
TechniSat DiGYBOXX T4 VA
With the DiGYBOXX T4 VA TechniSat offers a high-quality DTT receiver for the reception of unencrypted and encrypted digital terrestrial TV in SD as well as in HD (MPEG 4) quality. The device includes an integrated VIACCESS decoding system with Smartcard reader and is prepared for Boxer subscription. Reliability, ease of operation and compact size of DiGYBOXX T4 VA will allow these units to complete successfully the range of receivers for one of the biggest DTT- platforms in Scandinavia.
The OSD is used for operation is available in 5 languages: English, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish and Danish. In addition, the DiGYBOXX T4 VA comes along with a HDMI cable and is particularly well suited for use while camping, or in mobile homes, as the receiver is additionally equipped with a 12-Volt power connection.
TechniSat DiGYBOXX T4
TechniSat DiGYBOXX T4is designed for the reception of unencrypted digital terrestrial TV in SD as well as in HD (MPEG 4) quality, particularly well suited for the market of France and Greece. The DiGYBOXX T4 is equipped with an USB interface for connecting memory devices such as external hard drives; therefore the receiver can be used as PVR (PVR ready).
TechniSat HDFS Satellite HD Digital Receiver with Freesat
The TechniSat HDFS Satellite HD Digital Receiver with Freesat has been designed for the reception of both Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD) programming. The Freesat specification offers a fully featured Electronic Programme Guide (EPG), interactive ‘Red Button’ services using MHEG-5 and HD programmes from ITV HD. The HDFS allows multimedia playback of movies, music and pictures from external USB devices, memory cards and Compact Flash or via a networked PC using the Ethernet port. The network connectivity can be extended further with the addition of the TechniSat TELTRONIC USB-WLAN Adaptor to provide a wireless solution. In addition to Freesat mode, the HDFS has a TechniSat mode which offers the extended features and functions expected of a TechniSat receiver, such as multi-satellite reception using DiSEqC and motor control. Freesat is a free-to-view satellite platform developed by the BBC and ITV.
TechniSat IDTVs
TechniSat produces high-quality IDTVs at its production facility in Staßfurt, close to Magdeburg (Germany), which are developed at the group’s own research and development centre in Dresden. TechniSat will be presenting its latest models in the HDTV and TechniLine series at the IFA show.
The TechniSat TV concept combines exceptional technology with an exclusive design as well as a user-friendly operating concept. The TechniSat HDTV IDTVs (available in 32, 40 and 46 inch sizes) come equipped with an integrated Dual HDTV multi-tuner. This facilitates the reception of digital programmes via satellite (DVB-S), cable television (DVB-C) and terrestrial pathways (DVB-T) including reception of HDTV without any need for an additional receiver. Most of the models of the TechniSat HDTV IDTVs also come equipped with an integrated hard drive as standard, allowing users to record both analogue and digital programmes. The integrated TWIN tuner even allows viewers to conveniently record a TV or radio programme while at the same time viewing or listening to a different programme. Regarding our environmentally-conscious customers: all the HDTV IDTVs have gained top marks in energy efficiency, with power consumption in standby mode significantly less than one Watt.
With its new “TechniLine“ series TechniSat has expanded and continued its successful LCD TV concept featuring an integrated multi-tuner for reception of all transmission paths (DVB-S2, DVB-C, DVB-T). The new TechniLine 32 HD complements the TechniSat portfolio of high-quality digital television sets made in Germany. This model features a new compact design, and provides unbeatable value for money.
