The expansion of the TechniSat radio bouquet continues. With Star*Sat, a well-known top-radio programme resumes from 1 May 2005 onwards with three different programmes its operations within the TechniSat radio bouquet. Star*Sat Radio was the first German radio programme, which was broadcasted via satellite.
On 1 May 2005, Star*Sat Gold, Star*Sat Country and Star*Sat Hit-Express are starting. Star*Sat Gold plays the best music tracks of the five last decades. With Star*Sat Country, TechniSat broadcasts a radio programme for country enthusiasts. It plays the best country hits around-the-clock. Star*Sat Hit-Express offers a programme with the best hits of the last years. The newest top hits of the world are added continuously and updated daily. The three Star*Sat programmes have, as all TechniSat-owned channels, no moderation or commercial breaks. Thus, a special extra for all those listeners, who demand a 100% proportion of music of a radio programme.
By taking the three new Star*Sat radio programmes on air on 1 May, the TechniSat radio bouquet will dispose of 8 channels. Euroklassik 1, a programme playing classical music, and Radio Viola, playing the best tracks of the most famous tenors, operas and operettas, are on air already. Since the beginning of the year, the external radio programmes Jazz Radio Berlin, Radio Caroline from London and WILANTIS ? Das Wissensradio from Stuttgart are on air within the TechniSat radio bouquet.
The TechniSat radio bouquet is CONAX encrypted and can be received in best digital quality all across Europe via satellite ASTRA 19,2° East. Customers, who acquire a digital satellite receiver, model ?TechniSat DIGIT MF4-S?, get in addition to the digital receiver a free of charge CONAX smart card which is activated until 31/03/2006 in order to decode the TechniSat radio bouquet. As a standard the ?TechniSat Digit MF4-S? offers an embedded CONAX decoding system with a smart card reader and a common interface slot for the use of a CA module. The ?TechniSat DIGIT MF4-S? is available in specialised trade at the price of EUR 159.99 (recommended retail price).
It is understood that the TechniSat radio bouquet can also be received from listeners, who dispose of a different digital satellite receiver than the ?TechniSat DIGIT MF4-S?. Therefore, the unit has to dispose of either an integrated CONAX decoding system or a common interface slot for the use of a CA module. Via specialised trade TechniSat offers for the common interface version a CA module in a bundle with the CONAX smart card at the price of EUR 79.99 (recommended retail price) plus EUR 9.99 activation fee. Also available in specialised trade: individual CONAX smart cards for digital satellite receivers including an integrated CONAX decoding system (EUR 19.99 plus EUR 9.99 activation fee).
