The DigiCorder ISIO S and DIGIT ISIO S will receive SD and HD programmes via satellite, and will additionally provide many interactive options on the Internet.

At this year’s IFA show, TechniSat will be presenting the new hybrid receiver models DIGIT ISIO S and DigiCorder ISIO S for the first time. Both models cannot only receive digital TV and radio programmes via digital satellite in both SD and HD quality but also access IP-based interactive services and Internet contents, such as media libraries. You can browse freely on the Internet and also download Video-on-Demand contents, for instance. Furthermore, both receivers can access TechniSat’s own ISIO Live! Portal. Via ISIO Live!, TechniSat provides numerous services to customers, such as software update or access to up-to-date programme lists.

Wide range of connections and interfaces

The new receivers come equipped with two integrated CI+ interfaces as well as with smartcard readers for the CONAX decoding system and are thus ideally suited for the reception of Pay-TV. By using the TechniCrypt VA CI module in conjunction with a suitable Smartcard, you can receive VIACCESS-encrypted programmes. This means that, among other things, these receivers are ideally suited for use in the French market.

Multimedia centre functionality

Using the integrated Ethernet interface (optionally via a WLAN adapter) and the complete support for Universal Plug and Play (UPnP including DLNA), the digital receivers can easily be integrated into a home network and can be used in this network in combination with various multimedia devices such as PC, television set, audio sound system, digital cameras, and many more. The receivers can be used via UPnP as a multimedia server for the home network, or can play back pictures, music, or videos released on the home network as a client. They support a whole series of current data formats for any media type.

Digital video recorder functionality (DVR)

The new TechniSat receivers can also be used as digital video recorders, even featuring a time-shift function. The DigiCorder ISIO S comes equipped with an integrated hard disc drive (500 GB or 1 TB), allowing you to record digital TV and radio programmes. The TWIN tuner functionality of the DigiCorder ISIO allows you to record one programme while viewing a different channel. At the same time the DIGIT ISIO S gives you the opportunity to store and reproduce TV and radio programmes on external storage media (sticks, external hard disc drives) via a USB connection (DVRready including TWIN functionality).

TechniSat added value services

The new digital receivers come equipped with the tried and proven TechniSat added value services to ensure simple, convenient operation. For instance, AutoInstall guides the viewer through the most important settings for ?rst use, step by step. The new optimised user interface makes navigation to programme data sent by transmitters as well as programming of timer events simpler than ever before.

Optimum child protection

The new TechniFamily functionality provides optimum child protection, which allows you to set up password-protected user pro?les for children. For each pro?le, custom access options and restrictions can be de?ned, e.g. for the selected programme, available multimedia and network functions, or daily television viewing times, and a maximum duration of use can be determined. Family arrangements can thus be mapped ?exibly and in detail via device settings.

High-quality stylish design

Both models feature a high-quality metal case with a stylish front including a fluorescent display which, in the case of the DigiCorder ISIO, can display up to 6 lines of characters.

Made in Germany and 3-year guarantee

The DIGIT ISIO S und DigiCorder ISIO S have been developed and are produced in Germany. They are available in the colour options black and silver in Q4/2010. If you register your receiver with TechniSat after purchase, TechniSat will provide a 3-year guarantee.
