TechniSat Digital Sp. z o.o. extends production of digital set top boxes for the revolutionary pre-paid satellite television service, Telewizja na karte, offered by Cyfrowy Dom Sp. z o.o.
TechniSat Digital Sp. z o.o. located in Oborniki Slaskie/Poland, part of the TechniSat International Group, headquartered in Betzdorf/Luxembourg, is the manufacturer of the Digit S2-CD digital set top box. Cyfrowy Dom Sp. z o.o. is owned by ITI Neovision Sp. z o.o. - the majority shareholder in the Polish DTH platform n. The new DTH service, Telewizja na karte commenced 3rd October 2008 and has been extremely successful with TechniSat Digital producing the 100,000th Digit S2-CD receiver by 1st December 2008. The TechniSat Digit S2-CD with integrated Conax conditional access system and associated SIM card is equipped to receive the entire programming range of Telewizja na karte. The alliance with TechniSat Digital has allowed Cyfrowy Dom to follow a successful strategy of targeting a valuable segment of the Polish Pay TV market.

TechniSat International is part of Technisat Digital Group and its production facility in Oborniki Slaskie/Poland started manufacturing set top boxes in 2006, now employing over 300 personnel. The Technisat Digital Group was founded in 1987 and has around 1,500 employees. TechniSat Digital Sp. z o.o. has established the sales department in Oborniki Slaskie, which is responsible for the Polish market.
