The TechniSat DVB-T receiver DigiPal 2 is not only the best-selling digital box for the reception of the recently launched digital terrestrial television service in Germany, it is also the absolute test winner. The specialist publication HOMEVISION, published by WEKA, in its recent March 2005 issue conducted a major product review including seven DVB-T receivers. The HOMEVISION testing team announced the DigiPal 2 to be the winner of this test. It was the only one of the receivers tested to be awarded an overall rating of ?Very Good?, as well as the ?Very Good? rating in terms of value for money. Overall, the DigiPal 2 was rated at 90 points. This was followed by the Telestar Freistar T2 at 89 points, the Kathrein UFE370 at 82 points, the Thomson DTI 1001 at 77 points, the Lorenzen SL DVB-T 6 at 74 points, the Brainwave Digi200T at 73 points and the Yakumo DVB-T receiver at 67 points.
It is interesting to note that the TechniSat DigiPal 2, together with the Telestar Freistar T2, is the lightest receiver on test. TechniSat has thus managed, in the shape of the DigiPal 2, to produce a receiver that weighs only 370 grams, and still packs all the features to give it top ratings in every category. TechniSat is extremely pleased to receive this important accolade from HOMEVISION. This recognition is a further incentive to continue, in the future, to carry out our own product development at TechniSat Digital in Dresden, and to produce these exclusively in our own production facilities located in Germany.
